Entrepreneurial behaviour of agriculture graduate entrepreneurs towards agri-entrepreneurship

The present study was conducted in all the constituent colleges under MPKV, Rahuri. The University presently has eight constituent colleges of agriculture. All these were selected for the study. The sample size constituted 120 agriculture graduate entrepreneurs that had passed out from the year 2017 onwards. While studying the entrepreneurial behaviour of agriculture graduate entrepreneurs towards agri-entrepreneurship, it was found that more than half of the respondent agriculture graduate entrepreneurs (57.50 per cent) had medium entrepreneurial behaviour. It was revealed that nearly half (49.17 per cent) of the agriculture graduate entrepreneurs were in medium innovativeness category. Findings about leadership ability revealed that more than two-third (63.34 per cent) of agriculture graduate entrepreneurs had better leadership ability. With regard to self confidence, more than half of the agriculture graduate entrepreneurs (55.00 per cent) belonged to medium category. With respect to decision making ability, nearly two third of the agriculture graduate entrepreneurs (62.50 per cent) had medium decision making ability. Findings of risk orientation revealed that most of the agriculture graduate entrepreneurs (60.83 per cent) had medium risk orientation. With respect to achievement motivation, more than two third of the agriculture graduate entrepreneurs (65.83 per cent) belonged to medium level of achievement motivation. There were 37.50 per cent and 53.33 per cent of the agriculture graduate entrepreneurs that had medium management orientation and medium technology orientation, respectively.
