The present study was conducted in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh with a sample of 120 farmers by probability proportionate to size from four village with thirty farmers from each village. Data used were pertaining to the period of 2014-15. Cobb-Douglas production function analysis of data indicated that, among various resources selected, human labour, fertilizers, seeds and manures in small farms, human labour, staking materials, cattle labour and manures in large farms and human labour, fertilizers, manures and chemicals in pooled farms were statistically significant. The ratio of marginal value product to marginal factor cost per unit was found to be greater than unity for the variables human labour, fertilizers and seeds in small farms, human labour, staking materials and cattle labour in large farms and human labour, fertilizers and chemicals in pooled farms. The adjusted coefficient of multiple determination was 0.8480, 0.8701 and 0.8492 on small, large and pooled farms respectively.
