The present study was undertaken in the Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Raigad and Thane- Palghar districts of the Konkan region of Maharashtra to assess the extent of adoption of mango production technologies. The extent of adoption was measured using the Technology Adoption Index (TAI). Primary data pertaining to the agricultural year 2023- 24 were used for the analysis. The average adoption index of low, medium, and high adopter groups was found to be 55.46, 65.41, and 76.88 per cent, respectively, while the overall adoption index was 65.10 per cent. The majority of mango growers (84 farmers, 70.00%) belonged to the medium adopter category, followed by low adopters (21 farmers, 17.50%) and high adopters (15 farmers, 12.50%). All the respondents (100%) adopted improved mango varieties, fertilizer management, insect- pest management, and disease management technologies. High adoption was also observed for harvesting practices (96.67%), planting 10- 15 per cent local varieties for pollination (95.83%), and foliar spray of plant growth regulators (94.17%). In contrast, intercropping was the least adopted technology, with only 32 farmers (26.67%) adopting it.
