Tushar Raghuvanshi and Dr. Jahanara

With an emphasis on PM KISAN beneficiaries, this study examines the socioeconomic conditions of farmers in the Fatehpur district. Research finding indicates that the majority of respondents are middle-aged 51.94 per cent and male 81.39 per cent, according to quantitative statistics. Youth presence is still low, most likely as a result of migration and educational pursuits. A significant 14.72 per cent are illiterate, indicating restricted access to higher education, while the majority only have secondary or high school degrees, indicating modest educational achievement. The scheme's emphasis on socially vulnerable groups is highlighted by the caste makeup, which shows a considerable representation of SC 21.94 per cent and a majority of OBC 41.39per cent. The majority of respondents live in nuclear households and are employed full-time in agriculture, accounting for 68.33 per cent of their occupation. According to landholding patterns, the majority are small (33.17%) or marginal (54.44%) farmers, which is in line with the goals of the program. Half of the income distribution falls between ?50,000 and ?2 lakh per year. Additional results show that farmers have a generally high level of economic motivation, moderate extension contact, and medium exposure to the mass media. All things considered, the study shows that PM KISAN is successfully reaching its target population, but enduring inequalities in gender, education, and information access point to the necessity of more focused interventions to improve results and rural wellbeing.
