Study on extent of empowerment among farm women marketer’s in Telangana state

Empowerment includes fostering an environment of equality, where women can participate fully in marketing activities, improve their income, and have a stronger voice in both household and community level decisions. It is about creating a framework where farm women can reach their full potential as entrepreneurs and key players in the agricultural value chain. Empowering farm women marketers in Telangana is crucial for fostering sustainable agricultural growth and rural development. The present study was conducted in Khammam district of Telangana state to study the extent of empowerment among the farm women marketers. A total of 120 Farm Women Marketers were randomly selected for the study. Ex-post-facto research design was used for the present study. It was found that majority of the farm women marketers (57.50%, 65.83%, 71.66% and 63.34%) got empowered economically, technically, socially and psychologically to a medium extent due to marketing. Finally the majority had an overall empowerment upto medium extent (60.00%).
