Labour migration is the movement of labour from one place to another, migration either alone or with family, for the purpose of employment and improving financial status. The current study explores the constraints perceived by migrant labours working in trawl fishing sector. The study was conducted in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra and data was randomly collected from a sample of 120 migrant workers with help of interview schedule. The finding of study indicates that major constraints perceived by migrant labours at the workplace includes competition amongst migrants, payment issue, lack of education, competition with local people and limited rest breaks or overwork. The systematic strategy is required to address these constraints. This should include proper policy measures to protect the rights of the migrants labours working in trawl fishing sector. The proper training programs over the newly evolving fishing methods needs to be provided to build up the capacity of the migrant labours.
