Sunita Kumari and Santosh Kumar
In the global floral industry, cut flowers are an essential part that greatly enhances both looks and economic worth. However, prolonging the shelf life of flowers, particularly after them harvesting, is one of the main issues facing the floral enterprise. In order to solve this issue, several kinds of post-harvest treatments have studied. With an emphasis on the mechanisms of action, efficacy, and possible advantages of these treatments, this review paper aims to present an in-depth study of the many chemical and preservative technologies used to enhance the shelf life of flowers. By reviewing the current research, this paper will highlight how post-harvest interventions can improve flower shelf life, quality, and consumer satisfaction.
