abstract
The present study was conducted in Chakur, Ahmadpur, and Latur tehsils of Latur district from Marathwada region of Maharashtra state in 2023-2024, with an objective to study Attitude of rural youth towards agri-business enterprises. Four villages from each tehsils were selected. Total twelve villages selected for research study. Ten rural youth selected from each village and hence 120 rural youth were selected for the study. Ex-post facto research design was used for the study. A well structured questionnaire designed for study was used for collecting the data from rural youth through personal interview method. The data collection from rural youth were edited, tabulated and analyzed using suitable statistical tools like frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and coefficient of correlation. There were 11 independent variables viz, Age, Education, Family size, Family occupation, Annual income, Land holding, Social participation, Sources of information, Training received, Economic motivation, and Knowledge of agri- enterprise. The study was observed that, majority (65.83%) of rural youth had medium attitude towards different agri-business enterprises, followed by, 19.17 percent and 15.00 percent had high level and less favorable attitude towards different agri-business enterprises.
